These Terms of Use (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of TravelDATE at traveldate.net (the “Service”). By creating an account, browsing the site, or otherwise using the Service, you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
TravelDATE is an online community that helps travel-minded adults meet, message, and connect. The Service is operated through the website traveldate.net. Contact details are on our Contact Us page.
You must be at least 18 years old to register or use member features. By using the Service you confirm that you meet this requirement and that your use complies with applicable laws where you live.
TravelDATE provides member profiles, search and map views, private messaging, photos, likes, friends, favorites, profile visits, passport stamps, a community megaphone, and forum boards. Features may change, be limited during beta or maintenance, or be withdrawn at any time.
We do not guarantee that you will find a match, that any member is who they claim to be, or that the Service will be uninterrupted or error-free.
You agree not to:
We may warn, suspend, restrict, or permanently remove accounts or content that violate these Terms or that we reasonably believe pose a safety or legal risk.
You retain ownership of photos, text, and other content you upload. You grant TravelDATE a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence to host, store, reproduce, display, and distribute that content solely to operate, promote, and improve the Service.
You confirm that you have all rights necessary to share your content and that it does not infringe anyone else’s rights. Other members may see content you choose to make visible on your profile, in messages, on the megaphone, or in the forum.
TravelDATE helps members connect online. We do not conduct background checks and cannot verify the identity, intentions, or conduct of members.
Any communication or meeting outside the Service is at your own risk. Use common sense: meet in public places, arrange your own transport, do not send money to people you have not met in person, and tell someone you trust where you are going.
Use Block and Report on profiles, or email safety@traveldate.net, if another member behaves inappropriately.
We may review reports, investigate abuse, remove content, restrict features, or terminate accounts at our discretion. We are not obliged to monitor all content but may do so to protect members and the Service.
If your account is suspended or removed, you may lose access to messages, photos, and other data associated with your account, subject to our legal obligations and Privacy Policy.
We may send service-related emails such as verification codes, password resets, and important account notices. If you enable browser push notifications, your browser and its push provider will process a subscription token so alerts can be delivered.
The Service is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we disclaim all warranties, whether express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, TravelDATE and its operators will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for loss of profits, data, goodwill, or other intangible losses, arising from your use of the Service or interactions with other members.
Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be excluded under applicable law, including liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence or for fraud.
We may update these Terms from time to time. The “Last updated” date at the top will change when we do. Material changes may also be highlighted on the site. Continued use of the Service after updated Terms are posted constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
These Terms are governed by the laws of Norway, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. If you are a consumer in the EU/EEA or another jurisdiction with mandatory local protections, those protections remain available to you where required by law.
Disputes should first be raised with us at support@traveldate.net. If a dispute cannot be resolved informally, the courts of Norway shall have jurisdiction unless mandatory consumer law in your country requires otherwise.

TravelDATE (“we”, “us”, “our”) respects your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains what personal data we collect through traveldate.net, why we use it, who we share it with, how long we keep it, and the choices available to you.
This policy should be read together with our Cookie Policy and, if you are in the EU/EEA, our GDPR information page.
The data controller responsible for your personal data is TravelDATE, operating the website traveldate.net.
We collect the data you provide and data generated when you use the Service.
We do not sell your personal data and we do not currently use third-party advertising or analytics cookies on the site.
Under the GDPR and similar laws, we must identify a legal basis for each type of processing.

Because TravelDATE is a dating and social community, some information you choose to provide (such as gender, photos, relationship preferences, and messages) may reveal sensitive aspects of your private life. We process that information only to provide the Service and only after you have agreed to our Terms and Privacy Policy during registration.
We share personal data only as necessary to operate the Service:
We require service providers that handle personal data on our behalf to protect it and use it only for the agreed purpose.
We aim to store and process data within the EU/EEA. If a service provider processes data outside the EU/EEA, we rely on appropriate safeguards such as the European Commission’s Standard Contractual Clauses or another valid transfer mechanism under GDPR Chapter V.

Search results, map views, and recommendations are generated from the criteria and profile information you and other members provide. We do not make decisions based solely on automated processing that produce legal or similarly significant effects without human involvement.
We use reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect personal data, including password hashing, access controls, and secure hosting practices. No online service can guarantee absolute security.
TravelDATE is intended only for adults aged 18 and over. We do not knowingly collect personal data from anyone under 18. If you believe a minor has created an account, contact privacy@traveldate.net and we will take appropriate action.
